As parents are aware, our 2021 Acquaintance Night will be held this Tuesday, the 9th of February. Times have previously been indicated on the Blog. It is very important that parents adhere to requests made as a consequence of the Covid-19 restrictions -only one parent per family per class, sign in upon arrival to each class, ensure that the room has no more than 25 adults (respecting 2 square metres per adult) and maintain social distancing of 1.5 metres-we all know the familiar drill!
At last years Acquaintance Night a few classes were dominated with questions regarding Growth as a Learner. I am aware that some parents are very keen to have clarity around how we implement this programme and I am willing, as are other members of the leadership team, to do this personally. Please catch up with us at Acquaintance Night or at some other time so we could make an appointment to discuss this as you see fit. I have already do so recently with a parent.
I acknowledge that clarity is the key and in the very near future we will publish a further update regarding this initiative. The key element of the programme is that it focuses on each students’ learning dispositions ( how they apply themselves to their learning) not their academic ability.
Looking forward to seeing lots of interested parents at our upcoming Acquaintance Night.
