For part of this Term some of the Year 3 and 4 children studied the Artworks of Jen Stark to gain an understanding of how depth can be created in artwork through working with paper collage techniques. Jen ,an American artist takes some of her inspiration from nature and likes to observe how colour in nature can both attract and distract .
Firstly the children drew artwork with oil pastels and then took this art and created it into a 3 dimensional piece following the shapes and colours on their drafts.Both positive and negative artworks were created.
