Covid update number 2, Term 3

Dear Parents,

As many of you are aware, the Premier has implemented Level 4 covid restrictions as of midnight on Monday 19th July. Following advice from the Minister of Education and our Chief Executive, the following restrictions will be put in place at Brighton Primary School as of Tuesday the 20th July and remain until these restrictions are lifted.

The movement of adults in school has now been limited. Therefore, we ask that you do not enter the school grounds but rather drop your child/children at the school gate. If you need to see a member of staff you can arrange an appointment via the front office. If you do need to enter the school grounds please phone the school in the first instance to make an appointment. Following this and if you need to enter, ensure you check in via QR codes.

Leadership will be on duty at each gate to assist you with dropping off your child/children if required.  We will update our community when restrictions change, or are lifted.

All volunteer activities will be cancelled until further notice.

All school sporting and extracurricular events , including coaching, will be cancelled until further notice.

School excursions will be postponed, although  incursions can continue at this stage.

Support staff, including external support providers will be able to continue working across the site.

If your child is unwell please keep them at home and seek medical advice.

If you have been requested to quarantine please do so and update the school regarding the circumstances and likely return of your child/children.

Thank you for your continued support and we will keep you informed of any changes to the above restrictions.

Stay safe.

Ian
