My name is Makayla Kadow and I am a proud Aboriginal woman. I have been working as an Aboriginal Education Worker in schools for 3 years and have recently moved from Wirreanda Secondary School to come and work at both Brighton Primary and Brighton Secondary Schools. My role, as the Aboriginal Community Education Officer (ACEO), focuses on building relationships with families/community, monitoring student attendance, wellbeing, engagement, transition and helping to build cultural understanding around the school. I am looking forward to getting to know and work with all of the staff, students and families here at Brighton Primary School over the next year.
