Correct School Uniform

Dear Families,

It is an expectation that at all times students are to wear our Brighton Primary School uniform with pride and respect.   As a friendly reminder, I have attached our School Uniform Policy that has been approved by the school community through the Governing Council. An Incorrect Uniform Notice will be sent home, to notify parents/caregivers, if their child is not wearing the correct uniform. Please read through this notice to familiarise yourself with the process we follow at Brighton Primary.

School hats will need to be worn as of the 1st of September. Please remember the school beanie is not a substitute for the school hat.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation and support.

  1. In regards to the school uniform- I’m finding that the boys black cargo pants colour is fading and gets a orange tinge. It’s happened to the last 2 pairs we’ve bought

  2. Just seeking clarification. I had understood that plain school style unbranded black cardigans and black jumpers ie V neck or black zip up hooded jumpers were also acceptable.

I read the revised policy now released as permitting only the winter school fleece jumper and school raincoat. Is there a typo or oversight, or is this correct?

Can I suggest that at least plain black cardigans be permitted for girls? The school fleece jumper is a heavy style jumper that is quite warm and the rain coat is, well, a rain coat (ie limited comfort and suitable for outside only). There is no alternative or appropriate item suitable for days that are cool but not very cold.

Not to mention this revised policy will require each child to own more than one winter fleece as they cannot always be washed and dried overnight.
