Play It On – Sporting Donations collected today and tomorrow

Hi BPS! My name is Aspen Crase, I am excited to be collaborating with the organisation ‘Play it on’ for my year nine school community project. I am a former Brighton Primary School student and I am thrilled to have the chance to collaborate with the next generation of BPS kids.

Play it On is a not for profit social enterprise that provides funding subsidies to kids from families that are financially challenged. Your donation of sports equipment will be sold and the profits raised will assist kids from struggling families through subsidy grant sporting club fees.

They support a great initiative to encourage more kids to play sport. If you’ve got unwanted sporting equipment taking up space in your garage, you can donate it to the collection box on school grounds!

A list of what items can be donated is below.

    Acceptable Items for donation

      Slightly worn equipment in workable order

  • Cricket bats, pads, gloves, helmets, cricket bags
  • Football boots (all codes)
  • Tennis rackets
  • Hockey sticks
  • Lacrosse Sticks
  • Basketball shoes
  • Balls – all sports
  • Sports bags
  • Softball, baseball bats and gloves
  • Inline and roller skates
  • Fitness equipment (large equipment contact us directly)

 

     Equipment we won’t accept

  • Sports balls with holes (really flat)
  • Used Drink Bottles
  • Club uniforms
  • Protective boxes
  • Severely damaged items
  • Bicycles
  • Socks
