Week 5 proved to be a busy week for students involved with Tag Rugby and Athletics. On Monday our school hosted the year 3/4 mixed NRL Tag Rugby carnival. We had 8 teams and around 80 students involved on the day. Leading up to this carnival each team had some year 5/6 students help coach and train the teams during recess and lunch breaks. Our school won two awards on the day. The first one was for Teamwork and the second one was for having the most overall values.
On Friday we again hosted the Tag Rugby carnival for the year 5/6 students. We entered 4 boy teams and 1 girl team. Our school one two awards on the day. The first one was for Inclusion and the second one was for having the most overall values.

On Thursday Brighton had 26 students attend the South West District Athletics carnival held at Henley Beach. Highlight performances include:

Sports Day- Friday the 29th of September
Preparations for this day have already begun. The House Captains have worked on the health hustle, team chants and the speeches for the opening ceremony. A timetable for the day will be available soon. This year will see the junior students running a 50m sprint as part of their tabloid events and the primary students will be running a 100m and 200m sprint as part of their tabloid events.
