Cross Country trails. We are having a second trial after lunch this Thursday for students who could not make the Monday morning trials. Top 10 boys and girls who qualify in 2013, 2012 and 2011 age categories will be notified by the end of the term.

Recent Lacrosse Carnival. This was held at Brighton Lacrosse Club and we had 55 students and 11 teams play on the day. Many of our students have never played before but with some recess and lunch practice sessions over 2 weeks they knew the modified softcross rules and had a lot of fun. All four finals had Brighton teams win on the day.

Swimming Carnival. We had 12 students compete in the recent South West Swimming trials. These included: Maxie, Calum, Phoebe, Bella, Zachary, Eddy, Oscar, Amelia, Eleanor, Grace, Elke and Jesse. Many thanks for Nic Lewis who helped out with timekeeping. We had a range of results and quite a few students broke their PB times.

Crows Cup was held on the same day as the swimming carnival. Our year 5/6 team consisted of: Keeley, Eliza, Ruby, Halle, Mill, Amelie, Evie, Daisy, Layla, Billie, Emilie and Miah. With coaches Marek and Lee Waters. The girls were too strong in the group stages going through undefeated. However they lost the Grand Final to St Marys. They had a great day and we thank Lee and Marek for coaching the girls on the day.

Running Club has gone from a consistent 10 students to 35 students overnight. Great effort from our High School students Asha and Izzie. Also, good to see Lisa B ( teacher from 2.9) out there running with the students.

Pedal Prix had their first practice session on Tuesday morning with Marek, Mo and Matt. We had 25 students riding their bikes, doing step ups and running laps in preparation for the physical components involved in becoming a Pedal Prix racer.
