Shoe Boxes of Love Fundraiser

Shoe Boxes of Love is an organisation that supports people impacted by disasters, such as those who have lost their homes to fires and floods. They are a unique, entirely volunteer run organisation, that does not receive government funding or grants. Instead, they rely on the generosity of businesses, and people, just like us to help support those in need.

Brighton Primary School students are kind, caring and keen to help! As part of our Mathematics unit, 2.9, 2.10 and 2.11 will be fundraising to help those in need by making our own Shoe Boxes of Love to donate.

Our goal is to raise between $1,500 – $2,250 so we can make 30-45 shoe boxes ($50 per shoe box).

We will be holding a Sausage Sizzle and Cake Stall as our main fundraiser in week 8 (next week), on Thursday the 23rd of March. Students will be able to use cash and coins to buy a sausage as well as a cake on Thursday the 23rd of March from recess until lunch, with classes having allocated times to buy as well as lunchtime (11:10 – 1:30pm)! Thank you to Brighton Foodland, Woolworths Marion, Coles Marion, Goodman Fielder and Springfresh Salads for their generous donations.

Thank you to all of the families from 2.9, 2.10 and 2.11 for their Cake Stall donations, whether these were baked at home or purchased, we really appreciate your support.

Sausages will be $2.50 each and the cakes are up to $2,  with all proceeds going towards our Shoe Box of Love donations.  Alternatively, you can donate without purchasing anything. **Cash only**

We thank you in advance for your support!

Kind regards,

Students and teachers from 2.9, 2.10 and 2.11
