A big week for STEM problem based learning!

Starting with foundation, the students visited Wittunga Botanical Gardens and participated in 3 learning activities with the support of Abe and Jason from Nature Play SA. They learn about the ecology of the gardens, aboriginal plant use and the design features of their play space. This will support their project to design a nature play space for Glenthorne National Park.

The students in 2.7 and 2.8 launched their STEM project this week. They are partnering with Shokry Abdelaal, a biophilic architect, to design a medical clinic which connects wellbeing and nature.

The year 5 students completed their project with their final presentation to Fulton Hogan and SA Water. The students demonstrated an extensive understanding of construction methodologies as well as stakeholder management and presented with confidence.
