Dear Families,
We are fortunate to be able to offer a high quality camp program for each of our students from years 3 – 6. Our programs are designed to positively impact on students’ learning and development in fun and exciting ways. Our camps offer students the opportunities to participate in a wide range of outdoor education activities which cannot be provided within the four walls of a classroom. This week our year 5 children have been at Illawonga (near Swan Reach on the River Murray) for a two night/three day camp where they explored the river, experienced sheep shearing, got close up and personal with native animals and went yabby fishing. As you would appreciate, taking a large group of children away on camp is a lot of work and a big responsibility for staff. A huge thank you to Lisa, Sandra, Marek, Catharine, Stazz, Kate, Jeff, Kerry and Christie for volunteering their time to provide the children with this wonderful experience.
Reminder Student Free Day next Friday 17th June. Our staff team will be learning more about Deaf Culture and ways to check for student understanding to move the learning forward.
Have a great long weekend.
Warm Regards, Rebecca
