Year 3 Music Excursion

The Year 3s went to Adelaide Town Hall today to watch and perform the premier of Paul Rissman’s “Finders Keepers” show with The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. They sang the choral parts to his new score to accompany Shaun Tan’s “The Lost Thing”. The ASO also shared pieces nearly lost due to discriminations pasts, one by composer Mariah Anonia Walturgis “Simphonia to Talestri” and by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor “The Orchestral Suite from Othello”. It’s great that we can recognise them for their work now that we need not discriminate against them for their race or gender.

The year 3s of Brighton Primary School sang well and should be very proud of themselves!

We’re pleased it didn’t rain and would like to thank our class teachers Penny, Kirsten, Kate, Rubi and Anastasia as well as parent volunteers Adam S, Jo C, Amy W, Anna K, Nouf B and Wayne S, Cassie B, Kylie H, Kirsty S and Lindsey K. We can’t do these lovely things without you!
