I am pleased to announce that the Basketball season is commencing next Monday, 28th February 2022. This was delayed by a week as we and Basketball SA navigate this COVID-19 wave.
I am awaiting confirmation from Basketball SA regarding if it is a 7 day or 14 day “unable to play” situation for a classroom close contact. I will communicate that as soon as I can.
I have made it a little different this term, with the season fee (term 1 and 4) of $25 being invoiced by the school, and you pay $6.00 on entry to the games. Only players are charged, not spectators. I thought paying on entry might be a little easier to manage as games might be cancelled or changed at short notice. The entry fee may increase as I have been quoted 2021 prices, but I cannot envisage the price increasing above $7.00/game.
Your children’s coaches and team managers have been advised of your teams and will communicate with you in the near future.
Thank you to the 42 parent and carer volunteers who have stepped forward to coach or team manage. I appreciate your dedication.
Huge thanks also to Elva, Voline and Nouf for volunteering their time and energy Tuesday morning to put the folders together and check all singlets, and to Hayley for filling the bags with all the required resources on Monday morning. Coaches or Managers, please come in to collect them!
