Hello from Kerry

Dear Families of Brighton Primary School,

My name is Kerry Heil and I am pleased to be joining you as the Leader of Wellbeing and Intervention.  I have come from similar leadership roles in Independent Schools and have received a very warm welcome to your beautiful school community here at Brighton Primary.  My role is to assist and resource SSOs and teachers who are supporting students with additional needs.  I have worked with students with a broad range of disabilities over the years. I look forward to collaborating with families and support services in the provision of adjustments and resources to help students achieve their potential.

Alongside this, I will be working with our staff on initiatives that continue the wonderful focus here at BPS on the wellbeing of students and families. I am passionate about supporting students to be active participants in their learning. As Educators we know that; ‘Wellbeing is linked to improved academic achievement, enhanced mental health and responsible life choices.https://studentwellbeinghub.edu.au/educators/about-wellbeing/

I look forward to working with you to support the Wellbeing of our students at Brighton Primary School.

On a personal note, I live with my family on a hobby farm in the Southern Hills and enjoy the outdoors and our animals. I am a passionate member of my local CFS. I am delighted to be a part of your school community and I look forward to connecting with you.

Kerry Heil
