Ekiden relay Thursday the 14th of October
We have 5 teams involved in this relay event. The course is 11.1km long with teams of 6. 2 students run 2.8km, 3 students run 1.5km and 1 student runs 1km. The event is held at Bonython Park. Hoping the weather is not as bad as it is predicted. We are going for a hat trick.
Beach Volleyball
The last couple of years we have been trialling different ways to reduce the numbers that attend the Volleyball carnivals. Managing 24 teams and 120 students is like going on a camp. 2020 we trialled teams with the capped number of 10. One of the reasons for this includes the lack of available team managers with the appropriate volunteer clearances and therefore duty of care. As the year 4/5 students have attended Term 1 Beach and Term 3 Indoor we are looking at just taking the year 6/7 students to the next event. Looking at 2021 might be different again as we no longer have year 7 students. The date for the carnival will be either the Thursday the 11th or Friday the 12th of November. Students are currently deciding on their teams.
Tag Rugby Carnival ( Week 6 Thursday the 18th of November) Trials begin next Wednesday the 20th of October.
Sports Day- Programs/timetables are still being designed and will come out soon.
Does the school run any term 4 sports like basketball etc? New to school this year & my kids are interested
