The Year 2 students have been participating in an engineering unit of work called Chemical Engineering: Improving A Play Dough Process. It is a curriculum program that integrates the science students are already learning in Primary School with engineering design. Throughout this unit, students will use what they learn about the science of solids and liquids to design and improve a play dough making process. We have already observed the properties of high quality and low quality play dough. The students are going to create and test batches of play dough until we achieve high quality.
We are enjoying the hands on experiments and using all of our senses to make observations.
