I have been informed by Sarah Constructions and Project Managers Sensum that site works will begin on November 23rd-Monday of week 7. Their first task is to run all the power and communications connections from Learning Area 4 to the new build, the library and Learning Area 1. With the new build, it is a requirement that we also update the water supply to the school from Brighton Road, where we can ensure sufficient pressure to supply water to fire hydrants which will be installed.
Trenches will be dug from Brighton Road and LA4 and run adjacent to the school hall up to the new build. This area will of course be fenced off. Access to the hall will be maintained. The building site will be fenced off in its entirety as will an access ‘road’ which will run adjacent to the eastern side of the staff car park. A temporary gate will be installed on Highet Avenue to allow vehicles to access the site.
An occupancy date for hand over is the beginning of term 2 next year.
