On Wednesday the year 1 students launched their STEM problem based learning project with a visit to Wittunga Botanic Gardens where Aaron, their industry partner, presented the problem of a nature play space development. This was followed up with a visit to Morrialta Conservation Park to see an example of a nature playground. It was a huge day with lots of tired students at the end but it was enjoyed by all.
On Friday 2.9 continued to ask questions about their STEM project at Wittunga Botanic Gardens, this time working with Trent, an aboriginal educator, to learn about the use of indigenous plants. The students were highly engaged, extremely well behaved and we managed to dodge the rain.
