Brighton School community,
I am aware there appears to be some confusion regarding the latest posts on our Blog regarding COVID 19 virus (Coronavirus) The post that was uploaded on Friday was forwarded to all schools late Thursday. Unfortunately the document was a scanned document (to include the signatures of the CEO and the Minister) and as a consequence users can not access the links included at the end of the letter. The post I did earlier today has the same link and can be accessed. I recognise that it is dated the 6th of March but that is the latest information I have received.
OUR RESPONSE
All class teachers will discuss with their students the importance of ‘Wash, Wipe, Cover’ (outlined below) first thing Monday
Harmony Day Assembly is cancelled
All classes have been issued with sanitiser for student use
All class teachers will regularly revisit the ‘Wash, Wipe, Cover’ mantra that is outlined in the post Sarah put up on Friday-see link provided
‘Wash your Hands’ signage will be placed widely around the school
We will be guided by DfE advice with regard to any upcoming camps or excursions we are proposing and we will update parents accordingly
Interviews will go ahead as planned
There is no doubt that this is a very challenging time for our community. You can be assured that at Brighton Primary School we will be guided by all protocols issued by the Federal and State governments/health authorities. What is really important is that our students are made aware of the facts and in particular the importance of good hygiene. We want our students to feel safe at school and we will do all that we can to ensure this happens.
If there are any new developments regarding responding to COVID 19 I will update our community
Ian
