Reconciliation Week Museum

Dear Parents/caregivers,

As part of National Reconciliation week (27th of May until the 3rd of June) Brighton Primary will present a Cultural Museum in the library.

Caity, our Aboriginal Community Education Officer and Nera, our Aboriginal Education Teacher have been working with classes 4.3 and 4.4. They have been journeying through Aboriginal culture and learning about bush medicines, Aboriginal musicians, influential people, art, tools, weapons, hunting and much more. They are looking forward to sharing their learning with the Brighton school community.

Selected students from both classes, along with Caity and Nera,  will be in the museum on Wednesday morning from 8:40 – 9:30am.

During National Reconciliation Week the museum will be open from 8:30-9:00am every day. Parents, friends and families are welcome to browse through and learn a little about Aboriginal culture!
