Wednesday of last week was ‘Read Aloud Day’ and Renee, Jan and I spent time in our early years classes reading aloud one or two of our favourite books. I chose to read ‘Harry the Dirty Dog’ a favourite of mine as Harry reminds me of my dog Rocky. I brought Rocky to school and he joined me when I read to our 4 Foundation classes. Rocky is a fully accredited ‘therapy dog’ (paper work and all!) and was a hit with our new students. I will probably bring him to school again in the future as I know students enjoy his presence.
