We are holding a ‘Pyjama Day’ in support of Backpacks 4 SA Kids, on Friday 3 July, the last day of Term 2.
This will be a fantastic and fun way to finish off the term!
It is a school expectation that all pyjamas are weather and length appropriate. If students are wearing inappropriate clothing a parent will be contacted to bring suitable clothing.
We also require all students to be in normal school footwear (eg: no ugg boots or slippers) for safety issues.
As we are raising money for the Backpacks 4 SA Kids foundation a gold coin donation is expected if you are wearing pyjamas.
Backpacks 4 SA Kids is a foundation which works in conjunction with SA organisations such as the Department for Child Protection and SAPOL, who protect children from unsafe homes and assist children made homeless as a result of family conflict.
Backpacks 4 SA Kids provide children with an age-appropriate backpack containing a range of items including essentials such as clothes, pyjamas, underwear, socks, and toiletries, plus nappies, bottles, and a dummy etc for babies. The backpacks also contain comfort items (such as a cuddle toy), books, toys, colouring pencils and colouring books for younger children and school stationery supplies for older children.
Please find attached a flyer about Pyjama Day. For more information about Backpacks 4 SA Kids refer to their website.
