Netball – End of Season

Thank you to the families who attended our Netball Presentation last night.

This year, BPS Netball fielded 7 teams made from 67 players.  Our games are played on a Wednesday or Thursday at 4pm through out Terms 2 and 3.   We played on our Brighton courts and those of surrounding public and private schools in the South West District.

Thank you to our incredible coaches who conduct training sessions and prepare game plans.  All with the focus of developing team work and skill development.  Thanks to our team managers who plan the roster of captains and people off, and communicate weekly re training and game locations.  You are all wonderful people and I acknowledge the effort and commitment it takes to step up to these roles.

I was very proud of our umpires for their consistent, fair and high level of skill consistently demonstrated this season  Thanks and well done Jacqui, Emilie, Hayley and Jess.  (Special thanks to Aspen for recognising the umpires at last night’s presentation).

Thank you to the Adrienne and Bec (+ kids) for setting up yesterday;  and also Bec and Lee for collecting the pizzas.   I was so appreciative of the multitude of people who helped the pack up and rubbish collection.  Your team work and assistance is greatly appreciated.

A big shout out to Ben and Jed at OSHC for sharing access of the hall with us for our netball and basketball presentations this week.  This was so helpful for our crowds.

Lastly – thanks to the parents, grandparents, friends, siblings who came to support netball this season.  Our players can feel the extra love you give from the sidelines!  I’m sure they made you proud.

Thanks again for a great season,

Jan-Marie

(My apologies for the blurry photo.  These players are recognised for playing school netball for 5 or 6 years. What dedicated champs!)
