Weekly Wrap Up -colourful week

Dear Families,

Another fun week of learning and celebration. What a magical Book Week and Writer’s Week we’ve had! Our annual Book Week parade of colourful characters truly brought the joy of reading to life. A highlight of the assembly was the announcement of the Growth of Writer awards and the overall Writer’s Week awards. Congratulations to all students who participated in Writer’s Week; we could feel and see the enthusiasm for reading and writing. Thank you to Mandy for organising another successful Book Week and Writer’s Week.

Yesterday, we started the day bright and early with the annual Father’s Day Breakfast to celebrate our Dads, Grandpas, and Father figures in our community. The event was well supported, with over 300 egg and bacon sandwiches consumed! A big shout-out to the Parents and Friends Committee and volunteers who made this event possible. Thank you!

Our staff are learners too. Today, our staff enjoyed a day of learning about making thinking visible and the teaching of spelling and morphology.

A reminder: the school will be closed on Monday. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Tuesday. Don’t forget that from Tuesday, children need to wear a sunsafe hat.

Warm Regards, Rebecca
