Dear Families,
There was much excitement this week with the arrival of Ed the Emu, our new community artpiece. Created by South Australian Artist Mick, Ed is made from 1920 pieces of cutlery including some that were donated by families. Children were having lots of fun finding their family cutlery. Ed is not only a stunning piece of artwork for us all to enjoy but also teaches children how objects can be reused to create something new. We love Ed!
Thank you to our wonderful Parents and Friends committee who organised the ‘Muffins for Mums’ event today.
I am delighted to share some learning from 1.4. As part of an integrated unit of work the children have been researching an animal of interest, learning to write an information report and demonstrating their knowledge by creating a diorama. Well done to Alissia and the children in 1.4.
