This term is a busy one in our library and for our students.
Students are currently working on completing their entries for Writer’s Week with submissions closing in Week 4.
During Week 6 we will be celebrating Book Week and Writer’s Week. On the Tuesday (27th Aug at 9:15) there is an assembly when we will be presenting awards for the Overall Winners and Growth as a Writer. This will be followed by the Book Week Costume Grand Parade.
So now it is time to start thinking about choosing a book character, using you imagination and working your magic….. If you need inspiration come into the library as we have hundreds, if not thousands, of characters just waiting for their moment of glory!
The Premier’s Reading Challenge finishes on Friday 6th September (Week 7). Many students have already completed the challenge, so let’s encourage others to continue their challenge to read 12 books. Completed Student Record sheets can be handed into class teachers or into the library.
