Dear Families,
It’s been a busy week at Brighton with excursions, a media launch, Festival of Choir rehearsal, Tag Rugby and the State SAPSASA Soccer Carnival.
We were delighted to be asked by the South Australian Tourism Commission to host the Christmas Pageant Royal Family announcement. The children in 3.1 joined in all the fun and looked fantastic dressed as princes and princesses. The children loved chatting with the Queen and King of the Pageant and were very brave being interviewed by the TV reporters.
There is always great learning happening beyond the school gates. This week 8 classes ventured out in to the community to foster the children’s love and appreciation of the Arts through attending live performances at Seaview High School and the Hopgood Theatre.
Brighton is a sporty school. This week we have been back on the oval participating in Tag Rugby, Athletics and Soccer. Congratulations to Leo who has been in Perth representing the state at National Basketball championships.
This week is National School Support Staff Week. Thank you to all our support staff for the amazing job you do everyday in supporting our children and teachers to be the best they can be.
Enjoy the weekend.
Warm Regards, Rebecca
