Dear Families,
This week is National Reconciliation Week, a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation. Be a Voice for Generations is this years theme. To highlight Reconciliation Week we held a whole school assembly on Tuesday. A shout out and thank you to Amelia for sharing her family heritage with us. One way we are supporting the journey to reconciliation is through incorporating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and culture into our teaching and learning programs. During Visual Arts lessons, Dreamtime stories and works of art have been a starting point for children creating their own artworks.
Enjoy the children’s creations.
Have a great weekend.
Warm Regards, Rebecca
