Dear Families,
The hall came alive on Tuesday night with beautiful music with our annual Strings Concert. The students performed a variety of pieces showcasing their skills both as an ensemble and individual performers. It was wonderful to witness the talent of our students who have been learning the violin and cello this year with our strings teacher, Sandy. We are fortunate to offer a Strings Program and I would like to thank Sandy for her passion and dedication to teaching the students. Congratulations to Sandy and students on a fantastic performance.
Term 4 brings with it wonderful opportunities to celebrate student learning and achievements in a wide range of areas. This term we have acknowledged student achievement in Sport, Music, Visual Arts, Science and Problem Solving at our whole school assemblies. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of our year 6 community next Thursday at the Year 6 Graduation.
Only 4 more sleeps until the End of Year Celebration! We are excited to be performing live, the first time since 2019. All classes have been busy practising for their performance and can’t wait to entertain the audience. The night is all about connecting as a community, celebrating the end of year through song, story and dance, and an opportunity to thank students, staff and parents for their support throughout the year. Please see previous Blogs for further information.
Moving Up Day is Monday. Children will meet their new teacher and classmates. Parents will also be informed about their child’s class placement on Monday. End of Year Reports will be distributed on Wednesday.
At the end of the school year we will farewell Sally, Steph, Steven, Kelsey, Anastasia, Kate Saunders, Stuart, Nera, James, Elizabeth, Charlotte and Christie. We wish them all the best for their next adventure and thank them for their dedication to the Brighton School Community.
Warm Regards, Rebecca
