Hi families,
As in previous years, our Year 6 Student Community have been hard at work creating websites that accompany their enterprise stall, provide information on their product/s and advertise their brand. This year, we attempted to streamline the process and utilise WordPress, the engine that powers our school blog. In order to make this work, our IT guru, Mr Adam Coulls, has had to work tirelessly to ensure that our risk assessments, etc, through the DfE were all checked out and signed off, which would allow the websites to go live. Adam has ensured that this was done. Unfortunately we are still waiting on confirmation/approval from the DfE that allows this to happen.
Unfortunately, the websites are not available for your perusal prior to tonight’s Art Show as we had planned. We are hoping that this will be resolved in time for the School Community to browse our student websites prior to the stalls opening on Wednesday.
Instead, each Year 6 Student will have their iPad open at their stall with the website available. The completed sites are looking great and this is our best way of having our students show off the hard work that they have put in this term in Digital Technology & Design. I strongly encourage you to take your time to browse a few if you get the chance tonight.
I will provide an update, with a catalogue of all of our websites to the blog THE MOMENT DfE provides the final clearance to do so 🙂
