We are very fortunate to have a passionate and enthusiastic group of parents on the Parents and Friends committee who organise many community and fundraising events throughout the year, like the disco held last night. Our first disco since 2019 was a great success with with over 550 students bopping til they drop to all the latest music and some classic disco songs. A big thank you to the Parents and Friends Committee for organising the event.
Another sporty week at Brighton. Congratulations to the students who represented Brighton at the District Athletics Day on Thursday and to the students who played rugby at the Media Conference with Premier Peter Malinauskas on Tuesday.
We are excited to be celebrating Book Week and Writer’s Week from Monday 29th August through to Friday 2nd September. Families are welcome to join us for the whole school assembly and dress up parade on Wednesday 31st August at 9:15am on the courts. Students can come dressed up as their favourite book character or related to the theme, ‘Dreaming with your eyes open’. We encourage families to be creative when planning costumes and utilise/reuse what you already have at home. Have fun creating!
