The Festival of Music Songbook competition is on again. Lets get creative!
Each year the Primary Schools Music Festival holds a Songbook Cover and Songbook Illustration Design Competition. Students from years 4 – 7 are invited to design a cover and/or illustration to be shown inside the Songbook. The winning entrants’ artwork will be professionally finished for use on the 2022 Songbook cover, on the website, the app, concert programs and all promotional materials. The winning illustration designs will be embedded within all Songbooks.
The entry requirements are in the Songbook cover letter link on the website so make sure you have a look, for example it must be A3 size, Portrait layout and All artwork must reflect the theme/songs of the 2022 repertoire. If you scroll down to the bottom of page when you open the link, you will see and be able to listen to the song list, for next year, for some inspiration. Also at the bottom of the page are the previous years winners to have a look at. If you want to do an illustration to enter for the Songbook inside pages it is to be A4 and in black and white only.
This is an amazing opportunity to have your artwork shared around South Australia and seen by thousands of people. With so much artistic talent in our school, it would be wonderful to see a BPS student win it. If you need any help or resources please don’t hesitate to come and see me.
