Congratulations to our Brighton Thunder & Lightning Pedal Prix team, who last Sunday competed in our school’s first race since 2019. Our 12 riders represented Brighton brilliantly, with bike 99 and bike 84 taking out 5th and 6th place respectfully. I was incredibly proud of the manner that our team conducted themselves both on and off the track. We showed the Pedal Prix Community that Brighton Thunder & Lightning is a team to be reckoned with on the track, and one to be greatly respected and admired off of it.
As always, our programme could not be as successful as it is without the support of the parents.
Thank you to all those who supported on the day and in the lead up. A special thank you to Matthew Olson and the mechanical team for ensuring our bikes were race ready. Another special thank you to Jon Inglis, our team trainer, for having our riders fit and ready for the event.
Our programme is also supported by community businesses to keep the cost of involvement minimal. Thank you to Woolworths, Brighton for supplying our riders with fresh fruit for the event.
Our next race is scheduled for Victoria Park, Adelaide, on Friday the 18th of June. Stay tuned for more information.
