With regard to updating our community re COVID-19 I will do so on ‘a need to know basis’. I will also number each post so parents are aware of the chronological order of posts put on our Blog. Latest developments from our school are:
We have staggered our school recess and lunch times with LA 1, LA2 and LA3 remaining unchanged while LA 4, LA 5 and LA 6 will have their recess and lunch one lesson later in the day. That is, these classes will have 3 lessons, then recess(first break) , 2 lessons then lunch(second break) and 1 lesson and go home. This is in accordance of the Federal Government decree re gatherings of 500 persons or more, to be avoided.
Breakfast Club has been cancelled until further notice. This is more a precaution for our volunteers, many of whom are elderly.
Harmony Day Assembly has been cancelled but students are still encouraged to dress in orange and join in with class activities.
The camp planned for 4.1, 4.5 and 4.6 to be held in week 10 this term has been postponed until further notice. More details later.
Interviews will go ahead as planned. If parents are not keen to attend, please notify your child’s teacher and other possibilities will be explored-i.e. over the phone.
Governing Council and other sub committee meetings will go ahead as planned. It is of course up to the individual regarding whether they attend or not. If not attending please notify the Chair.
In the event of a confirmed case of COVID-19, our school will be closed for a minimum of 24 hours and children will need to be picked up immediately. At this stage there are no confirmed cases and if this were to occur I would immediately notify parents via this blog and by text message.
OSHC will continue to operate as per usual unless it is necessary to close the school due to a confirmed case of COVID -19.
Sarah will sanitise/clean our sick room daily.
Photos will go ahead as planned.
Jan, Christie and Adam will prepare a laptop/IPad cleaning schedule.
Rugby and Badminton clinics will go ahead as planned.
School basketball, run by Basketball SA, has been suspended until further notice. No change as yet to other sports. Parents will be notified if changes occur.

Hi Ian, do we have any news from SACA re: cricket games? Thanks
Hi Gemma
SACA are yet to communicate their decision with regards to school cricket games. I will let yourself (and all other team managers and coaches) know as soon as a decision to suspend, or play, has been made.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.
