We have had a large number of cases of head lice reported in the last few days, can you please check your children’s hair and treat if required, and then re treat as directed on the package. Please refer to the attached documents for further information
What is really needed is a nurse (the nit nurse) to check children’s hair when they come back to school after having head lice- they get checked before re-entering the school with them. Then sent back home to be treated. It is what was done in the ‘old days’ and worked funnily enough!!
I have had to treat my daughter twice already this term so obviously some children are not being treated. It is very distressing for her and she is embarrassed as well as her scalp sore from scratching the itches.
What else can we do apart from prophylactic treatment at home?
