Sincere thanks to Heather, who after 20 years of dedicated service working within the Department of Education, 16 of which were here, Heather has decided to retire. Friday will be her last day at Brighton Primary School. Heather has been the ‘face’ of our school, working on the front desk for many years and recently undertaking the Personal Assistant role for me as Principal and the leadership team. Heather has managed the challenging task of all enrolments for our school, including all our new Foundation students, which come with the complexity of ensuring all are within our zone. Her oversight of all relieving teachers, students transitioning to high school, confidential typing, numerous parent enquiries, managing and caring for sick students are just a few of the many tasks she has performed here at Brighton-an extremely busy agenda.
Sincere thanks Heather. On behalf of all the students, staff and parents of Brighton Primary School I would like to wish you a well- deserved and happy retirement. Take care.
Ian
