We have changed our Blog name to ConnectEd@BrightonPS ,which we believe is a more appropriate name for our Blog. You will notice that the Once Daily Notification that comes through will now be headed ConnectEd@BrightonPS, instead of Brighton Banter. We anticipate that this will not affect those of you who had to mark the email as coming from a ‘safe sender’.
We are aware that there is an intermittent issue for subscribers with the Once Daily Notification not always being received. We think we know what the issue is, and are trying to find a solution. The best solution in the meantime is for users to assume that a post has gone up each day, and to drop into the blog daily to check what’s new.
We believe our Blog is a very informative way for our school to communicate with our wider community, and hope parents are finding the regular updates a more dynamic connection with the school.
Ian
Hi Guys, any update on the blog notifications being rectified? I think this would help maximise it’s use/potential reach.
Hi Ian – the Blog is very informative – but it would be even better if the notification emails actually worked. I’ve signed up three email addresses, and marked the confirmation emails as ‘safe’ and yet no emails ever come. Until some of these issues have been resolved (seems to be a common issue reported on Facebook) could notes for things like Acquaintance Night changing dates please be sent as hardcopy notes home?
Thanks,
Tom
Hi Tom, we think we know what’s causing the intermittent emails, but we don’t have an immediate fix. We are investigating what we can do to solve the problem. In the meantime, please take the email as a reminder, but try to check in each day to just check if there’s anything new. New posts are always added at the top of the screen on the home page.
Thanks, Sue – I generally try and get on here to check when possible…but it’s not always a practical solution for important notes – Acquaintance Night being brought forward being a good example. Being a full time working parent means that being able to access external, non-job related websites on a daily basis can be difficult. Appreciate that the school is trying new methods and attempting to fix issues, but general feedback (ie. to school Facebook posts etc) is that lots of parents are missing out on information or finding things out very late.
Thanks again, appreciate your reply.
Tom
