Dear Families,
As Term 3 comes to a close, we’d like to share the highlights of the final week, which made this a fantastic end to the term.
Phoebe and her class organised a very successful fundraiser ‘Go Casual for Max’, raising over $1800 for Max and his family. Your kindness and support is much appreciated.
Our inaugural Principal of the Day was held on Wednesday. Principal Kinnan and Assistant Principal Emmie welcomed everyone to school, visited classrooms looking for our values in action, held student forums, made announcements over the , did the Principal speech at the CDE morning tea, MC the entertainment at the Art Show.
Our biannual Art Show, showcased our students’ creativity. From paintings to embroidery, the artwork on display was a testament to the talent and imagination of our students. It was wonderful to see so many families attend and celebrate the creativity of our young artists.
Students took over the courts with their Enterprise Stalls. They worked hard to plan, create, and manage their own businesses, learning important skills in teamwork, budgeting and sales. The stalls were a big hit with everyone, and of the funds raised some will be donated to a charity and some will be used to support the year 6 graduation. Congratulations to all students for their innovation and positive attitude.
We proudly celebrated National Week of Deaf People with a range of activities aimed at raising awareness of Deaf Culture and promoting inclusion. A big thank you to our CDE staff for making this such a wonderful celebration.
On the last day of Term 3, we capped off an exciting week with our annual Sports Day. The students showed incredible enthusiasm as they participated in various events, cheering each other on and giving their all in every activity. It was the perfect way to end the term—full of energy, fun, and team spirit.
Thank you for your support throughout this busy and rewarding term. We wish everyone a relaxing and enjoyable break and look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 15 October.
Warm regards, Rebecca
