Weekly Wrap Up

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Term 3! It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm and smiles as students returned to school on Monday, ready for another successful term of learning. A special welcome to our 36 new Foundation students who have joined us in the mid-year intake. We are thrilled to have you as part of our school community. It’s great to see how quickly you are settling in, learning school routines and making new friends.

It was an exciting day for 4.7 and 4.8 and their STEM project today! Over the past term they have been working on a STEM project that required them to design a caravan

  • with recyclable products
  • that is aerodynamic
  • that will function with no power
  • that must be light but strong
  • also an electric car needs to be able to tow it.
  • when the caravan is being towed it needs to be low, but when it’s parked it is high.

Today the students took their plans and  designs to the Caravan and Camping Show to gather some authentic feedback from stakeholders- those who use caravans and industries that make them. The students designed their own feedback sheets which involved asking specific questions to help to improve their designs and to target their brief.

This term promises to be filled with exciting learning opportunities, engaging activities, and various events that will enrich our students’ educational experiences. Keep an eye out for updates and important dates on the term planner and Blog.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. Let’s make Term 3 a fantastic and productive term.

Enjoy the weekend.

Warm Regards, Rebecca
