Weekly Wrap Up- Building Community

Dear Families,

Often known as Pancake Day, Shrove Tuesday is a feast before a period of fasting during the Christian season of Lent, the 40-day period before Easter Sunday. Thank you to Sarah Notridge and her team of volunteers from St Judes Church who cooked up 28 litres of pancake mixture on Tuesday for the annual pancake breakfast. The event had a positive vibe and many members of our community not only loved the pancakes but they also enjoyed connecting with each other.

Our families came together at the new look acquaintance night ‘Building Community’ to mark the start of the 2023 school year. It was lovely to see so many families taking the opportunity to connect with friends, meet new families and chat with our friendly educators. We look forward to future community events.

It’s week 4 and we’ve already had three excursions and next week our year 6 community are off to Sydney/Canberra for a four night/five day camp. I am excited to be joining the year 6 community on this adventure so I won’t be on site next week.

Enjoy the weekend.

Regards, Rebecca
