4.1, 4.2, 4.7 and 4.8 really impress

This week has been pretty important for the students in 4.1, 4.2, 4.7 and 4.8 as they showcased their knowledge and understanding in STEM to their industry partners.

4.1 and 4.2 presented their solutions to increasing the production of high protein foods with minimal impact to the environment to CSIRO Scientist Damien Belobrajdic. The students researched alternative sources of protein and shared their findings. Their solutions featured, crickets, meal worms, chic peas, lima beans, weevils, quinoa, green tree ants, micro algae, black kelp and nori.

4.7 and 4.8 presented their solutions to Renate Velzeboer from Green Adelaide to support her to prevent the Alexandrine Parakeet from becoming another invasive species. Their solutions ranged from micro-chipping exotic bird species to promoting her plight on social media. Congratulations to all students and teachers for their huge accomplishment.
