Illness at school

COVID is slowly making its way through our school for both staff and students.

As such, it is very important for all families to monitor your children for symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, nausea/vomiting/diarrhoea or extreme tiredness, muscle ache, dizziness.

If any of these symptoms are present, you should keep your child home from school and get them PCR tested.

Students may return to school after symptoms pass.

Should your child test positive to COVID via a PCR or RAT test you are required to notify the school as soon as possible on 8296 3614, 0476857212 or brightonps.info@schools.sa.edu.au

Please also notify the school if your child is required to isolated as a close contact via the above methods.

The Department for Education strongly recommends the wearing of face masks for all adults while on site except when teaching or interacting with children and for students in years 3 – 6, and these are available to all students in each classroom.

The department has provided the following website for you to access to help you with learning at home during isolation periods.
