Results of the Oliphant Science Awards

The South Australian Science Teachers Association (SASTA) held their annual Oliphant Science Awards recently and our school had close to 90 students participate in the competition with 70 projects submitted.

Students entered projects in various categories, such as Games; Science Writing; Models and Inventions; Multimedia; Posters; Programming, Apps and Robotics and Photography.

The school is starting to build a history of student success in the awards and this year saw Brighton Primary have two students recognised for their work with Highly Commended awards going to Isla C. and Scarlett W. for their Photography and Science Writing entries. Congratulations girls.

All place winners and Highly Commended entries in the awards are able to be viewed by clicking on the following link. I encourage students who entered this year or those that would like to enter in future to view the winning projects to see the quality of work required to achieve success in the competition  http://www.oliphantscienceawards.com.au/the_oliphant_science_awards/2021-online-project-gallery

All entrants from BPS have their work displayed in the school STEM room for our Science Expo and will receive certificates for their efforts from SASTA in the near future.

Congratulations to all students who entered.
