Library News

What a busy time we have ahead of us over the next few weeks.

  • Friday Week 5 – Writer’s Week entries close.
  • Week 6 – Judging of Writer’s Week entries.
  • Week 7 – Book Week & Writer’s Week
  • Wednesday Week 7 – Assembly to present Writer’s Week awards & Book Week dress up parade.
  • Friday Week 7 – Premier’s Reading Challenge finishes.

Writer’s Week Awards:  Students are hard at work completing their entries for this year’s event, which is in its  8th year.  Entries close on Friday of Week 5, and judging will be finalised  during Week 6. The awards will be presented at the assembly on Wednesday in Week 7.

Book Week:  This year’s theme is ”Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds’.  Students can dress up on the Wednesday of Week 7 to take part in the Dress Up Parade.  We ask that students dress up as a book character and carry the book  which their character is from.  The parade will take place at the end of the Assembly.

Premier’s Reading Challenge:  This finishes on the Friday  Sept 3rd, Week 7.  All Student Record forms need to be handed into the library by the end of that day.  Data entry is a big job, therefore  late submissions can not be taken.
