As parents/care givers would have noticed, the Highet Avenue road works are progressing very well and are in fact ahead of schedule. Traffic management has at times been challenging, particularly with students/adults crossing Highet Avenue before and after school. We have established a temporary crossing while the road works are being finalised. We ask that everyone take great care when crossing at this location. Line marking on Highet Avenue will take place this Saturday and it is most likely that the original crossing will be back in use from next Monday-the 1st of March. In the interim, please continue to use common sense when accessing the car parks and dropping off and picking up your child/children.
I will confirm with our community when the final laying of bitumen will occur-a small width on the northern side of the road. In the meantime, it is my understanding that parking on Highet Avenue will remained closed, until everything is finalised. What a great outcome for our school-something we have wanted for many years!
