The widening of Highet Avenue is ahead of schedule with an anticipated completion date within 3 weeks-this is great news! In the meantime parents should be aware that it will be necessary to move the student crossing on two occasions to the east, up Highet Avenue. The temporary crossing will still operate but parents and students MUST take additional care when crossing the road. Monitors and a staff member will still operate the temporary crossing however. Once the widening is complete the original crossing will be reinstated. This of course, is a consequence of the road widening.
If entering the football club car park to access your vehicle, please take extra care when crossing the road with your child-it is a busy and chaotic time at the moment, so being extra careful will be very wise! Let common sense prevail.
