EOI for Instrumental Music- Classical Guitar

Dear Families of students in years 5, 6 and 7 in 2021,

We would like to apply for an onsite classical guitar teacher through Instrumental Music for 2021. There has previously been a lot of interest in having a guitar teacher on site. Adam was great, but does not work for IM and according to DfE procedure we must try and use their providers. At this stage they cannot guarantee us a teacher for next year, but with sufficient interest they will strive to appoint a suitable teacher. At this stage we cannot promise that this will occur. They only provide lessons for students in year 5 and up.

If we are successful and are appointed a classical guitar teacher there is no guarantee that all applicants will be offered a spot in the program. Instrumental Music has a selection process and more details will be provided to those interested in the new year if we are appointed a teacher.

Lessons through Instrumental Music have some costs involved. Typically students are charged for some resources like books, administration fees and are responsible for their instrument. Sometimes there are hire options. It is expected that successful students continue studying for the year and if they choose not to continue, a formal letter is written to the school/teacher.

Lessons are typically 30mins weekly in a group class of approximately 6-8 students. Efforts are made to match skill levels in classes.

Students already learning an instrument through Instrumental Music cannot apply as only one instrument per student is supported through IM.

Please fill in an Expression of Interest form and return it before the end of week 5 Friday 13th of November either electronically to Ms Cheah Amanda.cheah706@schools.sa.edu.au or on paper to the front office via the office box.
