Brighton Dunes rehabilitation project

4.3 continue to visit the dunes to monitor the growth of their coastal plants planted with the support of Trees for Life and the Holdfast Bay council. We are pleased to announced that all of the plants have so far survived and are growing well. The students noticed that the pigface, a plant low to the ground, was the most healthy and the taller plants had struggled on the edge of the dunes where they are exposed to the sea breeze. They will walk back to the dunes in a few weeks to see how much their plants have grown and report back to the council on their health.
