Students dig into STEM

The students in 4.3, 5.1 and 5.2 launched their STEM project this week by plunging their hands into worm filled soil beds. On a wet and cold day BPS students travelled to Mount Compass and dressed in beanies, rubber boots and rain coats visited the Australian Vermiculture worm farm to hear a presentation from the founders and proprietors of the business. Del and Brendon (the worm whisperer) are passionate about their worm liquid and pellets and have asked the students to help educate  farmers on best practice to fertilise their crops, a change from chemical to natural fertiliser.
