Inclusive Education – Assistive Technology. How technology may assist your child’s learning, a free app

Assistive technology enhances the capacity for all students to engage more effectively with the curriculum and their learning environment.  With the extraordinary times that we are currently facing heading into term 2,  I thought I would share this article with our parent community which focuses on the free app – Microsoft Office Lens with Immersive Reader.

This app may assist with:

  • delivering information to students in a way that is more appropriate to their needs
  • changing the way a student can interact with the curriculum and their environment
  • providing a more appropriate and accessible way for students to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the curriculum.

The holidays may be an ideal time to check this app out in preparation for term 2, especially if your child will be learning from home.
